We have been in full swing with DECS healthy eating program for over a year now and it is running very successfully With the children taking to it very well.
The different categories are GREEN which the children can have everyday (eg salad, sandwiches and pizza and our new yiros) I have few new items that I have added to the list of healthy foods their lunches and recess.
AMBER is where they have special days which are on Tuesday and Thursday (eg pies, sausage rolls, chips and paddle pops). Wednesday and Friday are the days that we have hotdogs, due to the healthy eating.
The last category is RED and this is very special days and that is twice a term, but parental support in helping us to implement this new program is necessary for our canteen to remain open and viable.
If you would like to set up a prepaid account at the canteen for your child at the canteen please come in and organize it with Amanda
Remember, We are in need of help in the canteen to prepare the lunches even if it is only for an hour a week or month any help would be appreciated.
