Premiers Reading Challenge

The Premier Mr Rann Acknowledging our school's outstanding effort.
Last year our school had rose to the Premier’s Reading Challenge with huge success! 311 students completed the Challenge. The Challenge requires students to read twelve books between Term 1 and the end of Term 3. 8 of these books need to be titles on the Premier’s Reading List. This year was the second year our school took on the Challenge. For 232 of our students, it was the first year they took part, earning them a Certificate. Bronze medals were awarded to students who completed the Challenge for a second year, and 6 students received a Silver Medal for their third year. The Premier’s Reading Challenge has required a lot of setting up. Kate Ticehurst and Andrea Razorback, volunteer workers in the Library did all this work-finding and labeling books, putting together the students’ Reading Records and also altering the Library Catalogue. It is thanks to their work that we have been so successful!
